Shark Painting

I created a fun little animation of a painting I’ve been working on for a billboard. It’s just a little timelapse of the process I use. It’s an invented pose of a bull shark. My attempt was to use foreshortening and lighting to make him look like he’s popping out of frame.

Notice the eye moving around. The deputy director of the facility (head of the biology dept.) was ragging on me the other day for having the eyes of my sharks in the wrong place. Don’t worry I got him back by printing a photo of him and then “fixing the position of his eyes” for him.
